Hjáleið | Déviation is a visual and sound piece created by the musician Asalaus and the filmmaker Ferdinand Ledoux. The project was joined and shaped by the two artists while they were in different countries, one in France, the other in Denmark. Letters made of sounds and images, one Super 8 film roll and tape loops, were the leading guidelines in this attempt to join, to connect, to make a song out of distance.

No barriers were put between music and film during the process. The two artists used visual and sound motifs as the same entity, nourishing each other's voices to create a single object, to unfold a story from this stream of passages.
